Holovousy is located 9 km east of Kralovice. The cadastral area of Holovousy belongs to the Berounka Nature Park. The protected features of the nature park include the landscape of the deeply incised Berounka Valley and its tributaries, rock outcrops, adjacent forest complexes, agriculturally dominated areas, as well as culturally significant monuments that shape the landscape and historically developed villages of architectural value.

Nature

The Berounka Nature Park features a gorge-like river valley with a rocky geological subsoil, diverse soils and clean springs, and provides a habitat for numerous rare and protected animal species.

The Na Chocholouši hill [Hlince], the Hradiště hill [Chříč-Lhota] and the (Nad hřbitovem) hill [Kladruby-Hřešihlavy] are located in the vicinity of Holovousy. The Týřov ruins are located near Holovousy. In the wider regional surroundings of Holovousy are Holý vrch Mountain and the Zřícenina Valdek ruins.

Culture

The original owners of Holovousy were the Lords of Hlohovice. The village chapel in Holovousy contains a bell that probably came from the Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Chříč.
