Dobříč is located on the 63 km Baroko III cycling route. The village also lies on the edge of the Plaská pahorkatina uplands; the surrounding countryside is suitable for relaxation, walks and active leisure activities.
Nature and Activities
The Jarovská naučná stezka educational trail is located in the surroundings of Dobříč. It has 11 stations and is approximately 10 km long. It follows a circular route with a detour to the Rozhledna Radost lookout tower. Another tour, “From Dobříč to the Berounka”, begins in Dobříč and leads via Koryta, Čivice and Kaceřov.
Leisure
The Dobříč sports and recreation complex is located on the grounds behind the school. It offers football, tennis, nohejbal, volleyball, beach volleyball, basketball and a children’s playground. An outdoor swimming pool is located on the western edge of the built-up area of the Dobříč ZSJ.
History and Culture
Natural ochre from the Dobříč deposit was used as a pigment for facade and artists’ paints. At the end of the 19th century, the mining of ochre for paint began near the place known as Bílé jámy.
Local sights in Dobříč include a timber-framed granary known as a “roubený špýchar”. They also include the birthplace of the painter Václav Karel.
The Church of the Most Holy Trinity in Dobříč has older origins, was originally dedicated to Saint John the Baptist and was remodelled in the Baroque style after 1700.
Events
The programme of events in the municipality of Dobříč includes, among other things, a “pouť”. Beer festivals are also part of the programme.
