Krasíkov–Švamberk Castle was founded around 1250. The Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene is the most distinctive landmark of the castle hill of Krasíkov.
Culture and History
House No. 22 in Kokašice has a half-timbered gable and was part of an old mill dating back at least to the early 19th century. Čihadlo Mountain in Kokašice is classified as a significant archaeological site in category ÚAN I.
Bavůrkův kříž is a stone reconciliation cross with a relief of two concentric circles. It stands at a place associated with the tradition that Bavůrek of Švamberk killed the son of the Pilsen citizen Paleček there.
The traditional Apple Festival takes place at Krasíkov on the first Saturday in October. At Dvůr Krasíkov, families can spend an interesting afternoon with domestic animals and horses.
Getting Around
Kokašice railway station is located on railway line 177 between Plzeň and Bezdružice. Cycle route No. 2206 runs through Kokašice.
