Bernartice: Hotels and Accommodations

History

Bernartice was first mentioned in writing in 1577. Until the first half of the 17th century, the village belonged to the Boříkovy estate; later, Bernartice became an independent estate. Magdalena Perglarová was the first owner of the independent Bernartice estate.

The first written record of the Baroque Bernartice chateau dates back to 1798. The Bernartice chateau fell into disrepair because its successive owners did not live there. Baron Benard Kleis bought Bernartice in 1851; subsequently, the village was incorporated into the Mlázovy estate. The exact location of the former Bernartice chateau can no longer be determined today.

Surroundings

Kolinec is the center of a developing recreational area connected to a network of cycling and horseback-riding trails. Bernartice is also home to LamaDorádo, an animal husbandry operation specializing in llama breeding. Visitors can see the llamas at the LamaDorádo farm by prior arrangement.

Mount Úliště [Javor - Loučany] is located in the vicinity of Bernartice. The surrounding area is also home to Mount Svatobor, Mount Buzrakov (Plánický hřeben), and Mount Vosík [Hartmanice-Javoříc]. In the wider regional surroundings of Bernartice lies the Bayerwald-Tierpark Lohberg zoo.
