Puclice: Hotels and Accommodation

Puclice Fortress is currently open to the public by prior arrangement. It lost its function as a feudal manor after 1765; the earliest surviving records of Puclice date from the second half of the 14th century.

Culture and History

On the village square west of the pond stands the Chapel of St. Mary Magdalene. It is a free-standing, masonry and plastered central chapel on a regular hexagonal ground plan.

The Jewish cemetery in Puclice was allegedly established in 1750. Route 1/1400 passes through Puclice, and the Jewish cemetery in Puclice is a destination on this route.

Views and Landscape

The wooden observation tower of Puclice stands on Křižovatka Hill south of the village and is permanently freely accessible. From there, parts of the Švihovská vrchovina, Všerubská vrchovina and Český les can be seen.

Mount Běleč lies in the wider regional surroundings of Puclice. In the immediate vicinity are Hora Hill [Staňkov-město] and Peřina Hill [Osvračín]; Planina Hill [Horšovský Týn] is located in the surroundings of Puclice.

Getting There

Puclice can be reached from the main road from Plzeň via Staňkov, Křenov or Semošice.
