Sytno: Hotels and Accommodation

Sytno can be explored through tangible historical traces, its landscape, and regional customs. The wayside shrine Boží muka on the road from Sytno towards Sulislav is one such landmark: its restoration began on April 1, 2006, and it stands on the original foundations of an earlier structure.

Culture and History

Sytno was first mentioned in 1115; in this historical reference, the village appears as property of Kladruby Monastery. Czech customs have been preserved in Sytno. Archaeological finds from Sytno are on display at the museum in Stříbro.

Landscape and Trails

With an area of 17.4 hectares, Sytenský rybník is a defining landscape feature of Sytno. Cycle Route No. 37 runs along a local road in the cadastral area of Sytno.

The Naučná stezka Sytno educational trail is a 7.4 km circular route. A walking time of 1.5 to 3 hours is given for it; from the direction of Sytno, it can be walked with a stroller.

Customs and Regional Cuisine

People were invited to the Vepřové hody in Sytno on February 24, 2024. At the traditional Vepřové hody in Sytno, slaughterhouse products were sold and sampled on December 17.
