Kšice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary dominates the village green in Kšice. It is a registered protected cultural monument and a Baroque reconstruction.

Culture and History

Čertův kámen is a protected, well-preserved Hallstatt-period burial mound cemetery with a clearly visible, regularly defined outline. The burial mound cemetery lies south of the forest road connecting Záchlumí and Kšice.

Na Žalostném is a protected, previously undated burial mound cemetery with four to six burial mounds in the forest between Cebiv, Záchlumí and Kšice; some of the burial mounds are still clearly visible.

Stélka is a protected burial mound cemetery from the Late Bronze Age with archaeological continuity spanning 200 to 250 years. The cemetery comprises 42 burial mounds across an area measuring approximately 350 by 100 metres.

Čertův kámen comprises 63 large and small burial mounds. A considerable part of the cemetery is covered by dense pine forest that is 15 to 20 years old, and a clear-cut strip runs through its southwestern section.

Transport

Kšice is served by buses; there is a stop in the village centre. Rail access is provided via line 177, with a station in Lomnička; from there, connections are available towards Plzeň and Bezdružice.

Cycling

The cycling loop route “K vodě dvakrát přes Hadovku” passes through Kšice and Lomnička. The “Stříbro a Kladrubská katedrála” cycling route also passes through Kšice and Lomnička.
