Culture and History
In the historic center of MilÃÅ™e, next to the church, there is a monument to those who fell in the First World War. The village is also characterized by numerous wayside shrines and stone crosses; many of them stand directly in the village, while others can be found in the surrounding forests and meadows.
A medieval road from Bohemia ran through the area of today’s municipality of MilÃÅ™e, passing via the border castle of Tachov to Bärnau in the Upper Palatinate and onward to Nuremberg.
Nature and Village Character
The surroundings of MilÃÅ™e include forests, ponds, and wetlands. In MilÃÅ™e, remnants of the former pond, now called Mlejňák, have been preserved.
The two villages of MilÃÅ™e lie between the Lužnà and Sklářský streams.
Getting Around
MilÃÅ™e has tourist trails for pedestrians and cyclists. The surroundings of MilÃÅ™e are a popular destination for long walks and bike rides among residents of nearby Tachov.
Halfway to Zadnà MilÃÅ™e, a field path branches off and leads past the isolated settlement of HruÅ¡kovna to the impressive Oborské hájence, situated in the middle of the forest. From Oborské hájenky, you can continue along the Branka educational trail.
