Tojice: Hotels and Accommodations

The Chapel of St Lawrence in Tojice was reconsecrated in August 2000. It has a polygonal floor plan and a pyramid-shaped roof with a bell-carrying sanctusnik.

Culture and History

The cross known as the “1886 Cross” stands on a hill above Tojice, where two field paths meet. According to local eyewitnesses, it commemorates a fatal accident involving a horse-drawn cart loaded with hay.

The monument to the fallen of the First World War in Tojice was erected around 1920 and commemorates 10 citizens of Tojice. Its upper section bears a white marble Czechoslovak coat of arms, the inscription “28. říjen,” and photographs of fallen soldiers.
