Zahrádka: Hotels and Accommodation

Zahrádka reveals its local character particularly around the irregularly shaped village square, which remains the central public space of the village to this day. The chapel dedicated to Saint John and Saint Paul stands on the village square; Petr Wagner built it in 1782. Opposite the chapel, on the other side of the road, lies the Zahrádka u Všerub water reservoir.

Villagescape and History

The first written mention of Zahrádka dates from 1379. Some farmhouses retain architectural façade elements from the first third of the 20th century. On the southern edge of Zahrádka, on the road to Všeruby, stands the former Czech minority school building, erected in 1926.

Nature and Trails

The dense forests around Zahrádka attract people who come to collect mushrooms and bilberries. In the surrounding area, the Hůrky Nature Reserve protects a mosaic of preserved raised and lowland bogs, as well as wet alder forests with endangered plant species.

Cycle Route 2293 runs through Zahrádka and connects Hůrky and Mostice.

Village Life

The public area behind Zahrádka’s fire station has a large children’s playground and an outdoor fitness area. At the bus stop in front of the local shop, there is a newly installed book box for exchanging books.
