Blatnička: Hotels and Accommodation

Tradice Slovácka offers visitors a permanent exhibition on folk costumes. The workshop in the former school building also hosts exhibitions and lectures.

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Blatnička was consecrated on 3 July 1938. It stands on the site of a much older church that burned down in the 17th century.

In 2016, the artwork “Znamení svatého Izidora” was installed at a pavilion at the entrance to Blatnička. The story of Saint Isidore was to be displayed on a plaque at the pavilion a short time later.

Borky is a protected natural monument on the southeastern edge of Blatnička, formed by an artificial cut made by a local road. Flysch sediments are exposed at Borky; the boundary between the Paleocene and Eocene is visible there. Fossils of marine animals and traces left by them have also been found.

Borky can be reached by car without access restrictions; the site is within 250 metres.

Kobylí Hlava is a mountain in the vicinity of Blatnička. The mountains of Hradisko, Lesná and Kobyla are also located around Blatnička.

The “Along the Wine Trails” cycling tour passes through Blatnička and includes a section of the Strážnická Wine Trail.

The wider regional surroundings of Blatnička include Branč Castle [Podbranč], Kaštieľ Sobotište and Buchlov Castle. Starý Světlov, a castle ruin, is also located in this wider regional area.
