Bukovany: Hotels and Accommodation

Bukovanský mlýn houses a year-round sales gallery featuring traditional products from Slovácko. These include traditional utility ceramics, Tupeská ceramics, straw and corn husk products, and wooden products. On the second floor of the building, a permanent exhibition presents the cuisine of Slovácko, focusing on the first half of the 20th century.

The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in Dědina is listed in the central register of cultural monuments of the Czech Republic. The Chapel of John Paul II in Bukovany was consecrated on October 20, 2013.

The Alej vzpomínek in Bukovany is designed as a sculpture avenue featuring larger-than-life depictions of 79 Czech rulers. Original folk customs have also been preserved in Bukovany, including costume processions and the traditional “Martinské hody s věncem a káčerem”.

Otevřené sklepení features an exhibition on viticulture, offering insights into winemaking and the history of viticulture. Vinotéka Rotunda offers tastings of bottled wine from local wineries.

At Mlynářská restaurace, visitors can sample regional specialties prepared according to traditional recipes. Traditional Slovácko cuisine and Old Bohemian cuisine form the focus of the gastronomic offering. Otevřené sklepení at Bukovanský mlýn is open to the public free of charge every day from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The observation terrace of Bukovanský mlýn offers views across Kyjovské Dolňácko, with its fields, orchards, and vineyards, as well as of the ridges of the White Carpathians and the Chřiby Mountains. In good visibility, the view extends as far as Kobyla Hill near Bratislava, up to 110 kilometers away.

A modern Stations of the Cross with 14 unusual artifacts leads from Kaplička U svaté Anny along the forest. They were created from simple forms made of concrete, wood, iron, or glass and constructed between 1999 and 2009. Kaplička sv. Anny stands above Bukovany by the forest at a former stopping point for pilgrims on their way to Krtin and was built in 1995.

The Kyjovská vinařská stezka is a green-marked network of cycling routes starting in Vlkoš and extending for almost 56 kilometers. It runs through a landscape of forests, orchards, vineyards, fields, and meadows.
