Želešice: Hotels and Accommodation

The Městský dům at 24. dubna 76 in Želešice is protected as an immovable cultural monument. The Baroque building, dating from the second quarter of the 18th century, has an arcaded walkway and illustrates the transition between a rural and an urban house.

The Church of Neposkvrněného početí Panny Marie in Želešice is also protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. A Noc kostelů programme at this church included a tower visit and views of Želešice in the evening.

The landscape sculpture “Mezi zemí a nebem” was created by sculptor Jan Šimek in 1974–1975 as part of the park design. It stands on a grassy roundel in the park of the former Victoria nursery grounds in Želešice.

The Victoria nursery in Želešice was a fruit-tree nursery and was founded by Friedrich Wannieck in 1877.

The highest point of Želešický hájek offers a sweeping view of the surrounding landscape.

The lower valley of the Bobrava is protected as Bobrava Nature Park; the Bobrava flows through Želešice.

The southern section of the educational trail through Bobrava Nature Park follows forest paths through the valley. The Bobrava stream and information boards accompany the route.

A lime tree in Želešice was declared a memorial tree in 2014.

The local fruit and plant culture includes Šlechtitelská stanice Želešice. It sells fruit, including cherries, apricots, peaches and apples, as well as seeds for forage plants, medicinal plants and grass mixtures.
