Hradčany: Hotels and Accommodations

The memorial to the victims of the world wars was ceremonially unveiled on April 29, 1923. The present-day Chapel of Saint Anne was built in 1969. Its existence in Hradčany is already documented in the first military land survey of 1764.

Hradčany also has a wayside shrine (Boží muka), whose year of construction is unknown. Defensive embankments and an earthwork from the former fortifications are still visible.

The area of the significant landscape feature Horka is intended for recreation and relaxation. Its plateau is home to the municipality’s sports facilities, including a football pitch and a multipurpose court with auxiliary facilities; they have been in operation since 1953.

Today, the Sádek recreation area in Hradčany has play equipment for younger children and a workout course for teenagers.

Hradčany belongs to the IDS JMK tariff zone and has a bus stop on road II/385. Stráž Hill is easily accessible from the transformer station. From Stráž, there is a connection to the EuroVelo cycle route; it continues towards Kuřim, Brno, Tišnov, or Nedvědice.

At the Babské hody in Hradčany on Saturday, September 13, 2025, a traditional-costume procession accompanied by the Podhorácká kapela brass band passed through the entire municipality and invited attendees to a dance event beginning at 8 p.m. at the cultural center.
