Hustopeče: Hotels and accommodations

The Hustopečské mandloňové sady almond orchards are unique both in the Czech Republic and throughout Central Europe. In Hustopeče, these almond groves are connected with wine and the town’s history.

Trails and viewpoints

The approximately 2 km-long “Masaryk a Hustopeče” educational trail leads through Hustopeče and includes seven stations at significant places connected with the life and family of the first Czechoslovak president, T. G. Masaryk. The trail begins on the main road near the bus station, directly in front of the cinema building.

The Altenberk Viewpoint was created in 2020 from an old training pool for divers. From there, there are views of Hustopeče and Pálava; the viewpoint is also located on the direct route from the town cemetery to the almond orchards and the observation tower.

A parking lot for the Hustopečské mandloňové sady almond orchards is located on Šafaříkova Street. The Chapel of St. Roch is situated in a forest park with a natural amphitheater.

Culture and history

On Hustopeče’s main square stands the U Synků House, considered the best-preserved example and the best-preserved representative of bourgeois Renaissance architecture. The Střelnice is one of the oldest surviving buildings in Hustopeče. Its exhibition includes interactive applications and game elements for children and focuses on the history of the Střelnice, the town’s urban development, and viticulture.

Wine and almonds

Many wine cellars in Hustopeče are open to the public. Mandlárna Hustopeče offers almond-based coffee specialties, desserts, ice cream, savory dishes, and the Mandlovka almond liqueur.

At Slavnosti mandloní a vína, visitors can walk through blooming almond groves and vineyards, taste Moravian wines and almond specialties, and visit the open wine cellars of local winemakers.
