Nový Přerov: Hotels and accommodations

A 26.7-kilometre cycling loop from Mikulov to Nový Přerov and back leads through Mikulov, Březí, Dobré Pole and Nový Přerov. The loop runs mostly away from motorized traffic and is suitable for families with children as well as inline skaters.

Along the way

Jáňův dvůr offers children a small animal area where they can interact with domestic animals. From Nový Přerov, there are bus connections towards Mikulov and Hrušovany nad Jevišovkou.

Culture

The Church of Saint Michael the Archangel originated as a Baroque chapel built in 1600, which was expanded into a church about 90 years later. Inside, there is a sandstone cross with Christ dating from 1847. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk in the village square is a cultural monument. A statue of Saint Florian stands in front of the town hall.

Nature

North of Nový Přerov are steppes with halophytic vegetation. On Přerovský vrch near the Austrian border, there are remarkable examples of steppe vegetation with protected thermophilous flora. A proposal has been announced to designate the Lange Wart area as a natural monument. The area currently covers approximately 2 hectares; plant communities of dry grasslands as well as specially protected plant and animal species are to be protected.
