Krumvíř: Hotels and Accommodations

Louky pod Kumstátem protects Pannonian loess steppes, broad-leaved dry grasslands and dry herbaceous fringes, as well as populations of specially protected and other significant plant species. These include, among others, the large-flowered pasque flower (Pulsatilla grandis), the Russian viper's bugloss (Echium russicum), Tatarian sea kale (Crambe tataria) and the saw-wort species Serratula lycopifolia.

The Church of Saint Bartholomew in Krumvíř is an immovable cultural monument. It was consecrated on June 26, 1870. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius dates from 1948. It commemorates the centenary of the abolition of compulsory labor and the fact that the passage of the war front was endured without major damage.

The Kraj beze stínu folklore festival was founded in Krumvíř in 1976. At this festival, Zavádka is presented as a ceremonial couple dance from the wedding feast tradition of the walking type; it is the only dance in Slovácko performed in 3/4 time. The entire festival grounds are wheelchair accessible, except for the toilet area.

The Bartolomějské hody festival is celebrated in Krumvíř on the Sunday around August 24. On November 25, 2005, the Slovácký verbuňk was added by UNESCO to the List of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

The Krumvíř Winemakers' Association invites visitors to the traditional Josefský košt vín wine tasting. The event takes place on Saturday, March 14, from 1 p.m. at the cultural center in Krumvíř.

The Krumvíř Museum includes a preserved wheelwright's workshop. The exhibits include a boundary stone dating from 1724. The museum is currently open only during individual events and by prior arrangement.
