Culture and History
The Senoradské krojované hody is one of the most popular regular cultural and social events in Senorady.
The central bell tower of Senorady is a valuable late Baroque monument dating from 1807.
The chapel on Senorady village square was built in 1807.
A message was found in the small tower of the chapel on Senorady village square; it had been written during an earlier restoration in 1955.
The “Život na vsi” exhibition displays agricultural and household tools, including wooden wheels from wheelbarrows, a mortar, and an old wooden salt shaker from the 18th century.
The “Keramika doby halštatské” exhibition can be viewed with 3D glasses, which can be borrowed or purchased at the Senorady municipal office.
The Senorady e-Museum covers the history of the municipality and its immediate surroundings, from the first settlement to the beginning of the 20th century.
A hill rises on the western side of Senorady, where a wooden fortress once stood.
Nature
In the dry grasslands south of Senorady at Senoradský véhon, a population of several hundred large-flowered pasque flowers (Pulsatilla grandis) grows.
The Senoradská stezka is a nature trail through the Údolí Oslavy a Chvojnice Nature Reserve and connects several viewpoints overlooking the Oslava valley.
Paths and Excursions
A trip to the Templštýn castle ruins leads from Senorady; the one-way journey takes approximately three hours.
The “Přes tři hrady a dvě řeky” tour leads to the ruins of Kraví Hora Castle, Levnov Castle, and Šance Fortress, crosses the Oslavka and Chvojnice rivers several times, is approximately 12 km long, and takes about four to six hours.
The Senoradská kantýna can be visited on the way to the Oslava valley.
Senorady has a municipal geocaching cache called Tvrz Senorady.
