Nové Sady: Hotels and Accommodation

Nové Sady combines history and landscape. Historically, Nové Sady was called Nebštych. The name derives from the German “Neustift” and refers to a newly established settlement. The first written record of Nové Sady dates back to 1426.

History and Culture

The historical development also includes the settlement of Březina, which was founded around 1765 as a manorial settlement on forest land. On 7 July 1892, a fire completely destroyed Nové Sady and the settlement of Březina. During the occupation, Nové Sady was forcibly evacuated in 1943 and resettled in 1945 after the war.

The 1888 bell tower in Nové Sady is registered as an immovable cultural monument.

Landscape and Nature

Nové Sady is located in the Drahanská vrchovina area, in the northwestern part of the Vyškov District. The 10.5-kilometre-long Velká Haná watercourse flows through the village. Nové Sady is also situated near a forest massif at an elevation of 570 metres and is therefore used to a greater extent for recreation.

West of Nové Sady lies the protected natural monument Velká Haná. It includes meadows and shrub-covered slopes along the Velká Haná River.

Paths and Surroundings

A publicly accessible section of the Novosadská spojka runs from the intersection with Kostelní Street to the boundary of the military area. This section is located approximately 450 metres north of Nové Sady–Březina.

The object known as “Boží muka” is located on a field path north of Nové Sady.
