Ostrovačice: Hotels and accommodations

At the “Památník Pohádky máje”, an exhibition documents the origins of the 1891 novel “Pohádka máje” and the life of its author, Vilém Mrštík. The “Památník Pohádky máje” is permanently closed.

After his family moved from Ostrovačice to Brno, Vilém Mrštík liked to return to Ostrovačice, particularly during his years of study. The “Fara” rectory is registered as an immovable cultural monument in the cadastral territory of Ostrovačice.

The Podkomorské lesy Nature Park is partly located in the territory of Ostrovačice. Forests cover 95 % of the Podkomorské lesy Nature Park.

The “Mizející krajina?” educational trail connects Rosice with Ostrovačice and begins in Ostrovačice on a field path behind the wastewater treatment plant.

Skid-control training is also conducted at the training centre of the Automotodrom Brno in Ostrovačice.
