Prštice: Hotels and Accommodation

The exhibitions on the first floor of Prštice Castle are freely accessible.

Culture

Since 2016, the Prštice sundial has been the centrepiece of the castle park. It displays a calendar and Central European Time from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Regular services of the Roman Catholic Church and the Czechoslovak Hussite Church are held in the Chapel of St John of Nepomuk. The chapel can also be used for spiritual and classical concerts. The Aviatik Gallery exhibits paintings, prints, jewellery, ceramics and sculptures.

The Jánské hody festival is one of the regular social events in Prštice. The Prštice sundial is part of local open-air celebrations, including hody festivals, Christmas programmes and masked festivals.

Nature

The ponds of the biocentre are not a fishing area; commercial fishing there is considered poaching. The ponds on the Šatava stream in Prštice provide a habitat for aquatic animals, invertebrates and waterfowl.

Sport

Castle Golf Club Prštice has a 6-hole golf academy with six teeing areas, opportunities to play on grass, a putting green, a chipping green and a bunker. The club organises open days for the public.

The sections of TJ Sokol Prštice offer sports activities to the public throughout the year, except during school holidays.

Geographical location

Prštice lies on the eastern edge of Bobrava Nature Park.
