Sentice: Hotels and Accommodation
Sentice is located in the Boskovická brázda, in a valley running from northeast to southwest. The village combines a distinctive landscape with notable cultural and local features.
Nature
The wooded hills around Sentice belong to the hilly region of the Brno Massif. From Sentice, there are beautiful views of the Svratka River.
Culture and History
In the centre of Sentice stands the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk. It was founded as a Roman Catholic church in 1878. The statue of Saint John of Nepomuk is surrounded by an ornamental iron fence approximately one metre high.
The statue of Saint Florian is a freestanding sandstone sculpture approximately 3.5 metres high and is protected as a monument. The year 1766 is given on the pedestal beneath the inscription; this was recorded during a revision in 1971.
At the Krojované a Babské hody from 15 to 17 May 2026, a procession of traditional-costume groups proceeded from the Chapel of Saint John of Nepomuk to the Sokolovna.
Activities
The Fit stezka na Horce is a circular route approximately 0.5 kilometres long with nine exercise stations. It is located near the forest playground on Horka.
Local Specialities
Sentické medové pivo Kvasar is brewed using traditional bottom fermentation. During maturation, genuine honey is added to the 15° and 13° varieties using a cold process.
At Sentice 219, PIVO KVASAR s.r.o. sells the entire range at the manufacturer's prices. It is open Monday to Friday, except on public holidays, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
