Snovídky: Hotels and Accommodations

Snovídky combines traditional village culture, documented history, and natural features – thereby retaining a concrete connection to the location even when booking a hotel in Snovídky. The traditional Ostatky celebrations in Snovídky include a masked procession through the village.

History and Culture

According to Volný, Snovídky were first mentioned in written documents in 1360. After Tas z Ojnic became the lord of Snovídky and the Bučovice estate, Snovídky and Bučovice, located 8 km to the west, had the same owners.

A historic terrain feature is Hrádek u Snovídek. There, the ditch is up to 10 metres wide and 3 metres deep; an embankment has also been preserved along larger parts of the perimeter. Hrádek u Snovídek is designated as freely accessible, with terrain traces preserved there.

Hrádek u Snovídek is an abandoned castle probably dating from the Middle Ages, although it may also date back to the Hallstatt period. It presumably was destroyed by fire.

A summer cinema was announced for Saturday, 22 August 2026, at 9 p.m. in the ŠUTERŇA SNOVÍDKY area in Snovídky.

Nature

Beavers have been present along the Kyjovka stream in Snovídky since 2004. The wild animals mentioned in connection with Snovídky include deer, roe deer, wild boar, pheasants, and hares.

An information board at the Bezdýnka spring provides information about the spring and the Bezdýnka educational trail. The Bezdýnka spring in Snovídky can be reached by bicycle via a path; it carries water and is considered easily accessible.

Cycling

Cycle route 473 (Těšanka) runs from Otrokovice to Rajhradice. The route is moderately difficult and follows paved and surfaced paths.
