Telnice U Brna: Hotels and Accommodation

In Telnice U Brna, the parish church is dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. Only the Romanesque tower of the original church has survived to this day.

Culture and History

The local history includes the Baroque statue of Saint John of Nepomuk from 1740. At the end of V Dědině and Růžová streets stands a triangular chapel that was probably built at a mass grave of fallen fighters.

The Historical Educational Trail in Telnice presents life in Telnice and Cífer at the beginning of the 19th century. It is about 2 kilometres long, starts and ends at Masaryk Square, and includes nine stops with information panels.

The traditional Telnické hody festivities take place in June.

Cycle Paths

Cycle route No. 5063 leads from the church in Telnice to the crossroads near Sokolnice. The Brno Cycle Route runs directly through Telnice and connects to the educational trail leading to the Mohyla Míru.

From Telnice, you can follow cycle route No. 473 towards Újezd u Brna. The cycle routes in Telnice are part of the Moravian Wine Trails.

Nature and Leisure

Sand-loving flora grows in the floodplain of the Litava stream in the Písky nature monument near Telnice.

Orlovna Telnice offers spinning, bowling, tennis, racquetball, power yoga and a fitness centre. Orlovna Telnice is also open to non-members of Orel.
