Zbraslav: Hotels and accommodations
The first written mention of Zbraslav dates back to 1222.
History
In the center of Zbraslav stands the Church of St. Giles. It originated as a Romanesque chapel from the 13th century, which was expanded into a Gothic church in the 14th century by the addition of a nave and tower. Remains of rib vaults have been preserved in the presbytery and sacristy.
North of Zbraslav, near the road to Ludvíkov in the Příčnice woodland, stands an atonement memorial stone with a relief of a Latin cross and the year 1596. The original is kept in the municipality, while a copy stands at the original site. A second stone stele with a cross relief also stands near the 1596 atonement memorial stone.
At the corner of Školní and Komenského streets in Zbraslav stands a stone wayside shrine with a relief of St. Wendelin. The shrine bears the year 1781.
At the northeastern edge of the Zbraslav district, on the road towards Litostrov, stands the pedestal of a statue of St. John of Nepomuk. The original statue was stolen; a replica is in place.
The Hradiště Zbraslav hillfort site contains the remains of a former castle belonging to the nobleman Gerhard of Zbraslav from the 13th and 14th centuries.
