Čížkovice: Hotels and accommodations

Čížkovice is home to two Baroque buildings with a clear chronological classification: the Church of St. James the Elder was built between 1675 and 1677, while Čížkovice Château is a three-winged, single-storey Baroque building that was reconstructed between 1658 and 1665.

Culture and architectural history

The complex of the Church of St. James the Elder is a protected cultural monument. It includes a freestanding bell tower and a statue of St. Anthony of Padua. The bell tower probably dates from the 1670s.

The church contains a painting depicting the Count of Varensbach and his wife as noble patrons holding a model of the future church.

The reconstruction of Čížkovice Château was the first independent work of the architect Giulio Broggio.

Nature

A remnant of Čížkovice Château Park has survived and displays characteristics of a landscape park. The château park also included the renewal of the paths and the renewal of the park furnishings.

Transport

Čížkovice railway station is located on railway lines 113 (Litoměřice–Lovosice–Most) and 114 (Ústí nad Labem–Litoměřice horní nádraží–Postoloprty, with connections towards Žatec or Most). It is integrated into the integrated transport system.

The station building or the passenger shelter at Čížkovice station is accessible without barriers. There is also a bus stop for scheduled services near the station.
