The Dobříňský háj is designated as a European site of community importance. The Dobříňský háj protects mixed floodplain forests with pedunculate oaks, elms, and ash trees along major rivers. Spring flora includes the snowdrop (Galanthus nivalis), hollow corydalis (Corydalis cava), bulbous buttercup (Ficaria bulbifera), and yellow star-of-Bethlehem (Gagea lutea).

The Pískovna Dobříň was created when an excavated section of one of the largest gravel-sand pits in the Czech Republic was flooded. It is located near Dobříň railway station.
