Culture and history
The church of St. Michael the Archangel acquired its present Baroque appearance through reconstruction carried out between 1720 and 1730. The church is used for exhibitions and concerts. The Chapel of the Resurrection was built in 1884 in the municipal cemetery in Brandov.
Brandov Castle – Loupežnická skála was probably founded in the second half of the 13th century. Due to its location near the national border on a trade route to Saxony, it may have served as a guard post where customs duties were collected.

The SvÃdnická Valley Railway was opened on 2 May 1927. The Brandau stop on the SvÃdnická Valley Railway was used exclusively for passenger transport.
