Přestavlky U Roudnice Nad Labem: Hotels and Accommodation

The historic centre of Přestavlky consists of a group of farmsteads. The large village square features a chapel and farmsteads with distinctive gates decorated with sun motifs; the village is also home to a late Gothic stone wayside shrine.

History and Culture

Přestavlky was first mentioned in writing in 1227, in a register of the property of a Benedictine convent. Numerous urn fields in the vicinity of Přestavlky provide evidence that the area was already settled in pre-Christian times. During the Thirty Years' War, Přestavlky was completely looted, burned down and so devastated that the village lay in ruins for several years. The area “Přestavlky – intravilán vsi a okolí” is designated as an archaeological site in category ÚAN I.

Landscape

The Tvrdodolská svodnice is a regulated watercourse that flows through the village centre and is bordered by riparian and accompanying vegetation. On the outskirts of Přestavlky, along the road to Nížebohy, stands a niche chapel. A south-facing slope above Přestavlky features woodland-steppe communities, broad-leaved dry grasslands, thermophilous shrubs and acidophilous, thermophilous oak woods on sand.

Trails and Events

There are no hiking trails in the Přestavlky area. A stabilised equestrian route runs through Přestavlky along existing roads. A cyclocross venue is located in the forest south of Přestavlky, hosting various sporting events. Mountain bike races are also regularly held in the forest south of Přestavlky, including “Přestavlcký vlk”.

Established local traditions in Přestavlky include the Přestavlky cross-country race, the cycling event “Přestavlky bez šlápnutí” and firefighting competitions.
