Háj u Duchcova, together with the settlement of Domaslavice, lies at the foot of the Ore Mountains. From Háj u Duchcova, a marked hiking trail leads to Rýzmburk Castle and, via the Dušanova vyhlídka viewpoint, onwards to a junction of marked trails.

In the Východní Krušnohoří natural area, the Domaslavické údolí Nature Monument is one of the listed protected areas.
Culture and History
Háj was first mentioned in 1203 in the founding charter of Osek Monastery. In Kubátova Street in Háj u Duchcova, between houses No. 132 and No. 125, there is a memorial to the victims of the Second World War; it was unveiled on 8 May 1975.
The Chapel of St. Leonard (St. Linhart) stands on the country road between Háj u Duchcova and Osek. The small structure has a semicircular floor plan and a shingle-covered roof. The chapel was built in 1843 in the Neoclassical style by the local farmer Josef Beck, reconstructed in 2007, and is the only surviving religious monument in the municipality of Háj u Duchcova.
Hana Benešová was born in a railway gatekeeper's house in Domaslavice on the Litvínov Louka–Moldava railway line. The Karl Marx Monument is the only listed cultural monument in the municipality of Háj u Duchcova.
There is a stop for a scheduled bus service near Háj u Duchcova railway station.
