Culture and History

The Church of St. Gallus in Hrobčice dates from the second half of the 13th century. Romanesque windows have been preserved in both walls of the nave. The church complex stands on a hill in the southeast of Hrobčice.

The Hrobčice fortress complex had a circular ground plan and was fortified by a wall and a moat. The former manor grounds in Hrobčice feature a Renaissance gate with the Rausendorf coat of arms and the year 1579. The Hrobčice fortress was first mentioned in 1589, but had already been built considerably earlier.

Paths and Landscape

The Hrobčík the Goblin educational trail begins on the outskirts of Hrobčice near the Church of St. Gallus and forms a loop through the southeastern part of Hrobčice. It passes by the Church of St. Gallus below Horka Hill in the direction of Mrzlice and then returns to the kindergarten settlement. As a walking route for families with children, it is equipped with fairy-tale figures and play elements.

Hrobčice stretches along the Syčivka stream. The Hrobčice area is easily accessible via signposted cycle paths.

Nature

The Štěpánovská hora u Štěpánova natural monument protects one of two steppe clearings with rare plant and insect species in the České středohoří.
