A yellow-marked hiking trail runs through Křimov along the railway line and forms a circular route between Křimov, the Křimov Reservoir, and the Bezruč Valley.
Trails
The 65-kilometre Stezka Českem na Chomutovsku route runs from Křimov via Hora Svatého Šebestiána and Blatno to Kalek. Cycle route 3008 begins at the Křimov stop and leads to the former Third Mill in the Bezruč Valley. A cycling trip from Chomutov through the Bezruč Valley, the Křimov Reservoir, Nová Ves, and Výsluní follows a route around the Křimov Reservoir.
Water and nature
The Křimov Reservoir primarily serves as a drinking-water reservoir for Chomutov. Access is restricted: the water surface and the dam are not freely accessible, and entering Protection Zone I is prohibited to the public.
In the wider regional surroundings of Křimov, the small Krásná Lípa Nature Monument protected area lies near the eastern edge of Krásná Lípa. It protects the endangered pasque flower (Pulsatilla patens), which occurs there; the nature monument is considered the only site where this species is found at the foot of the Ore Mountains.
In the wider regional surroundings of Křimov, the remains of the vanished Hausberk Castle lie on Zámecký vrch, about one kilometre north of Krásná Lípa.
Culture and history
The Church of St Anne in Křimov was built in the mid-14th century. The originally Gothic church was extensively rebuilt around 1530; the west portal, the vault, and the windows in the presbytery date from this period. The presbytery has a defensive storey with slit windows in its eastern and southern walls.
South of the Church of St Anne stands a single-storey Baroque rectory from the last third of the 18th century. A wayside cross of reconciliation beside the road near house number 47 is one of the listed monuments in Křimov.
Railway
A railway museum is being established at the former Křimov railway station; historical locomotives and railway carriages form the basis of the planned exhibition. LOKO-MOTIV organises public special services, including traditional historic bicycle trains that run during the summer holidays from Klášterec nad Ohří via Chomutov and Křimov to Vejprty and back.
