Keblice: Hotels and accommodations

Keblice is located in the western part of the Terezín Basin. Humenský vrch rises above the village, reaching an elevation of 246 meters. Near Keblice, Humenský vrch is a basalt hill offering views of the České středohoří, Lovosice, and Litoměřice.

Culture and Villagescape

St. Wenceslas Church stands on the village square in Keblice. It has a neo-Gothic form and Rococo furnishings dating from the mid-18th century. Near the church stands a monument dated 1926 commemorating the victims of the First World War.

Keblice also has a second church belonging to the Czechoslovak Church, dating from the 1920s. An equestrian statue of a Red Army soldier in Keblice dates from 1960. Branka I at House No. 7 is a late Baroque, semicircular pedestrian gate with a mascaron.

Rural Architecture

The rural homestead at Keblice No. 7 comprises two late Baroque houses and a matching gate. The complex corresponds to the village’s Baroque strip-field layout; the buildings represent the rural architecture of the village’s wealthiest social class. The homestead at Keblice No. 57 is a late Baroque rural farm complex with an enclosed courtyard and a masonry gate.

Routes and Landscape

A cycle route leads from Bohušovice nad Ohří through Keblice to Siřejovice and then onward toward Rochov. Around Humenský vrch, the southern and southwestern parts of Keblice are suitable for short-term recreation through hiking.

History and Community Life

The Windsor ruins near Vrbičany, popularly known as Větrák, were once a Dutch-type windmill that met the needs of the surrounding communities of Siřejovice, Vrbičany, and Keblice until 1870.

Masopust celebrations are being held in Keblice in 2025 and 2026. For 2026, the municipality announced the third Keblické gulášobraní.
