Libořice: Hotels and accommodations
The château park is a spacious, unenclosed park with numerous mature trees, shrubs, and plants.
Culture and history
A mill stream flows through the château park; there is also a dilapidated stone bridge, a wooden weir, and a brick pavilion made of marlstone. The historic park extended through the valley between the château and the Zlatý potok stream. The flood of 1872 destroyed the park and its romantic structures.
Libořice Château was owned by the Counts of Klebersberg from 1739 to 1847.
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is a Baroque church with a tower dating from 1716. It can be reached via a staircase leading to an entrance gate on the eastern side of the grounds. The protected Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary complex includes the church, the bell tower, the perimeter wall with its gate and staircase, and the adjoining land.
The railway bridge in Železná spans a local road and the Blšanka River; masonry piers with arches support the steel bridge deck.
