Líska: Hotels and Accommodation

In Líska, the 5 km-long, easy hike “Na Zlatý vrch a na Studenec” begins at the small car park in the upper part of the settlement. Zlatý vrch in the cadastral area of Líska can be reached via a trail marked with hiking signs.

Nature

Zlatý vrch is a national nature monument in the Lužické hory Protected Landscape Area. The Studený vrch Nature Reserve is also located in the Lužické hory Protected Landscape Area. Studenec, also known as Studený vrch, is a prominent landscape feature with block fields of olivine basalt and peridotite inclusions. The Studený vrch Nature Reserve encompasses extensive scree fields and remnants of original forest stands.

The PP Líska Nature Monument protects forest communities with the character of scree forests. The perennial honesty (Lunaria rediviva) grows there in abundance. At Zlatý vrch, the now-abandoned quarry exposes exceptionally well-formed basalt columns up to 30 m long.

Culture

Atop Studenec stands a metal observation tower dating from 1888, considered the second-oldest in the Czech Republic, designated a technical cultural monument, and reconstructed in 2009.

House No. 13 in Líska is a two-storey rural glassmaker’s house from the first half of the 19th century, with a rectangular floor plan, a roof partly designed as a mansard roof, a timber-framed upper storey, and a room with infill panels on a stone base. House No. 58 in Líska is a rural estate with a two-storey, four-part rectangular house under a gabled roof and an operational section in the form of a smithy dating from the late 18th century.
