Huntířov: Hotels and accommodations

Huntířov lies on the border of the two protected landscape areas, CHKO Labské pískovce and CHKO České středohoří. The Stará Oleška nature reserve is one of the most significant wetlands in the CHKO Labské pískovce Protected Landscape Area. It provides an important refuge for numerous rare and endangered plant and animal species.

Nature and Water

Huntířov is a starting point for excursions into the surroundings of the Kamenice River. The Olešský Pond in Stará Oleška is considered suitable for swimming. Huntířov can be reached on foot, by bicycle, and by car, and has step-free access.

Culture and History

The former parish Church of St. George in Huntířov was built in the Middle Ages. A new Church of St. George was built in 1883–1884, replacing the earlier Gothic church, which had burned down. The Church of the Holy Trinity from the 19th century is located in Nová Oleška. Huntířov is also home to a Baroque rectory from the 18th century with a sundial. The historic villagescape also includes a rural estate bearing house number 13.

A windmill stands on Františkov vrch south of Huntířov. It is a Dutch-type windmill and was probably built around 1850. The building is constructed of rubble stone and was converted into a residential property in 2001. There are also several memorial crosses in the surroundings of Huntířov.
