Nové Dvory U Doksan: Hotels and Accommodation

Nové Dvory was first mentioned in writing in 1451 and is located in a historic agricultural landscape whose defining axis is the Ohře River. Local history, protected cultural heritage sites and the river landscape are closely intertwined here.

Culture and History

The Boží muka in Nové Dvory is designated as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The listed wayside cross or wayside shrine is located near house number 10 and is a stone Renaissance wayside shrine dating from the second half of the 16th century.

The municipality of Nové Dvory also includes the Chapel of St John of Nepomuk in Chvalín, which is listed as an immovable cultural monument. Only remains of the Novodvorský Mill survive, concealed in a courtyard.

Landscape along the Ohře

The municipality includes the operational supra-regional biocentre NRBC 2002 Myslivna na Ohři, located on the NRBK K11 biocorridor. The planning area of Nové Dvory includes natural assets along the Ohře, including oxbow lakes and alluvial forest complexes.

The Ohře River, which is associated with Nové Dvory, is designated as a European site of community importance in the Natura 2000 network. Throughout the planning area, the Čepel stream and the remaining riverside vegetation form a local biocorridor.

Cycle Routes

Nové Dvory is linked to the Ohře Cycle Route in regional transport planning. A cycle route connecting the Ohře Cycle Route with the Elbe Cycle Route runs along existing farm tracks.

A 33.0 km circular cycling tour leads from Roudnice nad Labem via Budyně nad Ohří, Chotěšov, Brozany nad Ohří, Doksany, Nové Dvory and Chvalín back to Roudnice nad Labem. A 42.0 km circular cycling tour leads from Roudnice nad Labem via Chvalín, Nové Dvory, Doksany, Brozany nad Ohří, Bohušovice nad Ohří, Terezín, Litoměřice, Křešice, Lounky, Černěves and Vědomice back to Roudnice nad Labem.
