Postoloprty: Hotels and Accommodation
A prominent landmark of Postoloprty is the chateau, which is considered a valuable example of a large Baroque aristocratic residence. The large Baroque building has two storeys and three wings; pavilion-like structures are located at the corners. The chateau was built in 1611 on the site of an earlier fortress.
Culture and History
The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Postoloprty is a single-nave church with a clock tower. Its interior contains five altars: one high altar and four side altars.
At the southern edge of Postoloprty lies Hradiště Drahuš, one of the few marsh castles in the Czech Republic. The fortification dates from the 10th to 11th century; the northern rampart has been preserved to a height of more than two metres.
Nature Along the Ohře
The floodplain landscape of the Ohře near Postoloprty has recreational value and is used for recreational stays. Hiking and cycling tourism take place there to a limited extent.
Cycling Tour through Postoloprty
Tour de Prty is a traditional, publicly accessible cycling tour in Postoloprty. In one edition, routes of 15 and 25 kilometres were available to choose from. Participants met at Mírové náměstí in Postoloprty and received maps for the selected route.
