Třebušín: Hotels and accommodation
The oldest written record of Třebušín dates back to 1169. From Kalich Castle, there are views of Třebušín, Litoměřice and the Elbe lowlands.
History and architecture
In 1421, after conquering an earlier fortress, Jan Žižka of Trocnov had Kalich Castle built and named it after the chalice. The parish Church of St Nicholas also bears witness to the town’s long history: it was first mentioned in 1384, destroyed during the Hussite Wars and restored many years later. Together with its surrounding wall and gate, the church is listed as a cultural monument in the Central Register of Cultural Monuments.
The château in Třebušín is a valuable local monument. Renaissance structures have been preserved in the cellars and on the ground floor of the north wing.
