Vrutice is home to the Waterworks Museum, housed in the historic building of a former pumping station.

Culture and History

The village is home to the Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua, built in the late Baroque style in 1766. It stands on Vrutice’s drivable village square, which is laid out like a street, and is listed in the register of immovable cultural monuments in the Litoměřice administrative district.

The local cultural heritage also includes Folk House No. 24. It is registered as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic under number 2458; its original gates, decorated with a sun motif, bear the year 1867.

The statue of Saint Florian depicts him as a Roman soldier pouring water from a bucket onto a burning house. The statue bears incised Latin capital-letter inscriptions with the year 1761.

The historic site “Theresienstadt concentration camp and ghetto” is located near Vrutice. The wider surrounding region is also home to Hrad Střekov Castle, Hazmburk Castle Ruins, and the ruins of Starý Berštejn.
