History and culture
Vysoká Jedle was first mentioned in writing in 1367 as part of the Hasištejn estate. Historical names for the village included Hochtann, Hohenthannen, and Hohenthan. Regular services are once again held in the restored Chapel of the Virgin Mary in Vysoká Jedle.
In the 19th century, bobbin lace-making became widespread in Vysoká Jedle. The inhabitants made various braids, grew flax, processed it at home, and sold it.

The “Z březových hájů přes skály a vodopády na Hasištejn” hiking route is 9.5 km long and starts in the village square of Vysoká Jedle. After a few metres, it leaves the quiet road and follows a forest path through a dense birch grove scattered with numerous boulders. After leaving Vysoká Jedle, the trail crosses the Prunéřovský potok stream and runs alongside the Kýšovický vodopád waterfall.
