Modlíkov: Hotels and Accommodation
A 607 m-high hill above Modlíkov in the direction of Havlíčkova Borová offers wide views across the landscape; in favourable weather, the panorama of Lipnice Castle can also be seen. In the Middle Ages, the hill served as a watch hill from which a trade route towards Přibyslav and Ransko was monitored.
Landscape and Trails
The mountains of Světka, Rosička, Vysoká and Blažkov lie in the surroundings of Modlíkov. The red-marked Cesta K. H. Borovského hiking trail also passes through Modlíkov for 1.49 km. The hiking trail, maintained by KČT, is 30 km long in total and leads between Hlinsko and Přibyslav.
Culture and History
The Modlíkov war memorial is located in the village square next to the municipal office. On 17 June 2006, a covered wooden stage was opened in Modlíkov as part of the local sports and social complex.
Since 1994, the building in Modlíkov has been gradually renovated and modernised and serves as a cultural facility. Concerts were held annually in Modlíkov. The ninth edition of the Modlíkovská traktoriáda was held in Modlíkov on 9 September 2017.
The Orlík ruins and Smetanovy sady Park are located in the wider regional surroundings of Modlíkov.
