Střítež u Jihlavy presents cultural history and regional routes through tangible local landmarks. In the park on the village square stands the Chapel of the Virgin Mary; a stone cross is located in front of it. The Late Baroque chapel has a cross vault and wall paintings inside and was recognized as a cultural monument in the Vysočina Region in the second quarter of 2025.

Culture and Local History

Another cultural and historical landmark is the Church of St. Florian, which is considered a cultural monument. It was built in 1848 on the site of a church that burned down in 1808. The complex includes a cemetery with an enclosing wall and a mortuary established at the end of the 19th century.

Nature and Landscape

The old Jewish cemetery lies on the western outskirts of Střítež and on the southern side of Pivovarský rybník. White storks nest on the pond's shore every year.

Hiking and Cycling

The municipality of Střítež participates in the “Stříbrné pomezí” project. This is a tourism system created by the statutory city of Jihlava together with 26 partner municipalities in its surroundings, with a total length of 270 km. The routes lead hikers and cyclists to monuments and places of interest in the region. “Stříbrné pomezí” offers cycling, hiking, and combined routes for both user groups.

At the junctions, information signs provide details about the respective stops in Czech, German, and English.
