Culture
At house number 29 in Staré Bříště stands a state-protected immovable cultural monument: a Boží muka wayside shrine. The stone structure is an octagonal pillar with a broader, hewn chapel dating from approximately the 17th century, and it is freely accessible.
The chapel on the village square in Staré Bříště was built in 1865. It has a small bell tower and a rectangular nave.
Traditions
Since 2004, there has been a gathering at the local chapel on Christmas Eve at night, featuring the singing of Christmas carols and a ceremonial address; this gave rise to a tradition. Another tradition is four Advent gatherings in the chapel, each held on the eve of one of the Advent Sundays.
The Starobříšťská pouť was established on the occasion of the feast of Saint John of Nepomuk; the local chapel is dedicated to him. On this occasion, delicacies prepared by local women and girls are offered. The Starobříšťská pouť included a solemn service as well as games for children and adults.
