Hejnice
Hejnice, a district of Rymice, was declared a village heritage conservation reserve in 1995. Three smallholder farmsteads in Hejnice—houses no. 62, 64 and 65—have been preserved as a group. House no. 64, “U Vymětalů,” in Hejnice contains a black kitchen with a hearth and a bread oven.
Hejnice is home to a fully wooden German post mill from the first half of the 19th century. The windmill was moved from nearby Bořenovice to Rymice in 1977. It turns on a central post, allowing its sails to be aligned with the wind. When organizing the local history by theme, you can distinguish between rural architecture, historic household furnishings and milling technology.
