The publicly accessible, signposted Kobzáňův chodník educational trail leads from the center of Liptál via Obora towards Vartovna.

Nature

The Pivovařiska Natural Monument is located in the cadastral territory of Liptál. The wet meadow and sun-exposed slopes of Pivovařiska provide suitable conditions for orchids and rare wetland plants.

The travertine mound at a spring outlet in the gorge near the Obora forester’s lodge is the largest in the Vsetín District. Old adits in Liptál, left behind from the extraction of fine-grained sandstone for the production of whetstones, serve as winter quarters for bats, especially the lesser horseshoe bat.

Culture and history

A signposted stop on the Kobzáňův chodník is located at Liptál Chateau. The chateau was built in the center of Liptál at the end of the 17th century and is protected as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The remains of an early 19th-century landscaped park in front of the chateau are freely accessible.

The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Michael the Archangel in Liptál dates from 1796, while the Protestant church in Liptál dates from 1907. The permanent exhibition of Jan Kobzáň in Liptál includes a painting loaned by the museum in Holešov.

Events

The international Liptálské slavnosti folklore festival has been held every year since 1970. The program of the 57th Liptálské slavnosti on August 22, 2026, included craft days with woodcarvers, blacksmiths, and other traditional crafts, as well as the opening of a fair. The program of the 2026 Liptálské slavnosti also listed a chateau café offering coffee, cake, frgály, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks.

On February 7, 2026, the event schedule of the municipality of Liptál included opening hours for the Muzeum Jana Kobzáně from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. On July 6, 2026, the event schedule of the municipality of Liptál included guided tours of Liptál Chateau at 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.

Cycling and sports

Since July 30, 2024, an electric bicycle charging station has been in operation at the fire station in Liptál. A bicycle repair stand is located at a pavilion near the pump track in Liptál’s sports complex. In addition to the local sports complex, Liptál has a new, varied asphalt-surfaced pump track.
