Nedašova Lhota – Hotels in the Bílé Karpaty Protected Landscape Area

Culture and History

Nedašova Lhota was first mentioned in writing in 1503. In the land registers of the time, the settlement was named as part of the Brumov estate and castle. At that time, Brumov Castle guarded the state border at the Vlárský průsmyk pass to Hungary.

Nedašova Lhota is home to several different examples of preserved cultural heritage. In the village stands a listed wooden log-built bell tower dating from 1867. There is also a brick bell tower dating from 1933 and a small bell from 1775. A wooden fruit-drying facility can also be found at Fojtík Jan No. 14. The fire station in Nedašova Lhota houses a four-wheeled hand-operated fire engine from 1902.

Hiking and Cycling

The 23-km “Valašské pastorále” hiking trail runs through the hilly landscape around Závrší. This hilly landscape includes Návojná, Nedašov, and Nedašova Lhota; it lies in the valley of the Nedašovka River. The route therefore connects several villages in this landscape area and explicitly bears its name in its designation.

Two longer cycling routes also include Nedašova Lhota. The 28-km “Na kole po Závrší” cycling route leads to the beginning of Nedašova Lhota and then climbs through the village. Nedašova Lhota is also located on the 35-km cross-border cycling and educational route “Naučná cyklotrasa Hugolína Gavloviča”. This route runs from Valašské Klobouky via Nedašov and Nedašova Lhota to Pruské.
