Culture and History

Dartlo is characterized by a concentrated group of cultural monuments. These include petroglyphs, the towers of Dartlo, fortress houses, the Mariamtsminda or Maghaloeli prayer house, a hall church from the 19th century, and an assembly hall or courthouse from the 16th century. Hiking and Horse Riding

The official Dartlo–Kvavlo route is a two-day route of moderate difficulty for hikers and riders. It includes Dartlo Sabcheo, the traditional courthouse, and the fortress of Kvavlo.

Overnight stays along the Dartlo–Kvavlo route are possible in guesthouses in Dartlo; camping is possible near the village.
