Pietrișu: Comanca, mountain trails and Cheile Folea

The former Comanca hermitage was built in 1736 and dedicated to the Feast of All Saints. The church of Mănăstirea Comanca is a historic monument. From Comanca, the former hermitage can be reached via a forest road leading through the woods. This forest road is therefore a separate section for orientation around Comanca and should be noted alongside the cultural destination in a personal route overview.

The route via Comanca to Lotrișor is initially marked with a blue cross and then with a blue stripe. The change in markings is a specific orientation point on this trail. The GPS track “Traseu Baile Olanesti-Pietrisu-Tisa-Baile Olanesti” is dated September 6, 2021. Its title lists Baile Olanesti at the beginning and end, and names Pietrisu and Tisa in between. In the area of Cheile Folea, Pietrișu is considered to be located at an elevation of about 700 meters. The word “about” indicates an approximation, not an exact elevation point. The elevation figure expressly refers to the area of Cheile Folea. In a route note, the figure should therefore be given as an approximate elevation, not as a precise survey measurement.
