Near the municipality of Tajov in the Kremnica Mountains lies Tajovská kopa, a protected natural formation. The travertine mound is 18 metres high and located on a slope. It includes a cascade-like waterfall and dripstone formations created by water containing dissolved limestone flowing downhill. From Tajov, Tajovská kopa can be reached in about 15 minutes via the yellow-marked hiking trail towards Suchý vrch. Culture

The Roman Catholic Church of St. John the Baptist in Tajov is considered the oldest cultural and historical monument in the municipality. It was reconstructed in the 18th century in the Renaissance-Baroque style. The church tower contains the large bell of Saint Ignatius from 1771, along with two newer bells from 1922.

The Jozef Gregor Tajovský Memorial House is located in Tajov in the writer’s wooden birthplace, where an exhibition has been established. It focuses on the history of Tajov and notable personalities from the municipality. One focus is the literary connection between Jozef Gregor Tajovský and his wife Hana Gregorová, who worked as a writer and translator. History

The old Görgeyho Tunnel lies high in the Kremnica Mountains along a historic mining route between Kremnica and Banská Bystrica. From the Banská Bystrica side, the Görgeyho Tunnel can be reached via a yellow-marked trail from the car park near the former Sokol or state lodge above Tajov. Today, it serves as a popular passage for hikers and cyclists, as well as for cross-country skiers in winter.
